Search changed — marketing hasn't

Stop writing SEO articles on your site. AI engines cite new content from third-party publications.

Search shifted

Most AI citations come from third-party sites, not yours

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews pull answers from the open web: reviews, industry publications, founder podcasts, community threads. Your domain is one source — rarely the main one.

Source
AirOps, 2026 State of AI Search, read 22 July 2026: about 85% of brand mentions in early commercial discovery come from external domains, and brands are roughly five times more likely to be cited through third-party sources than their own. Published 2026 figures for this range from about 39% to 95% because they measure different things — brand mentions, all citations, or earned media alone — so we quote the direction rather than a single tight percentage. BrightEdge, SEMrush.

Marketing hasn't

The SEO budget buys the wrong signal

Marketing teams pay for SEO retainers, writers, keyword tools, and ads. That can help Google, but AI engines cite external proof: reviews, publications, directories, cases, and third-party mentions. The budget goes where AI isn't looking.

Time to react

Buyers increasingly rely on AI recommendations

AI engines barely cite old SEO content. You need new content, by a new playbook, on the right venues — or AI recommends your competitors instead of you.

A new class of solution · AI-assisted marketing management

Old model — a team of contractors for every task. New model — one marketer + AI agents.

Old model

Copywriter, SEO specialist, PR, designer: one per task

A team of 4–6 contractors plus tool subscriptions. Each does their piece, the marketer assembles. Expensive, slow, uneven.

New model

One marketer manages AI agents through the platform

Humanswith.ai is a workstation for the AI-era marketer. They set strategy, AI agents execute under their control. 10× more output (10–12 vs 100–120 articles/mo), quality controlled at every step.

What changes

AI visibility in 2 months, not a year of SEO

AI engines cite fresh content from the right venues. The platform builds the strategy, ships the content, places the mentions, measures the lift. The marketer leads, AI agents do.

10× article throughput: 100–120/mo with one operator + 18 AI agents vs 10–12/mo from a 6-person freelance team.

Compared with a 6-person freelance/content team at 10–12 articles/month; one Marketing Operator + 18 AI agents at 100–120 articles/month.

Operational pilot · managed outcome

Need the loop to ship before your team owns it? Start with a 3–4-month operating pilot.

This is the named bridge between a software subscription and a fully managed engagement: we set up the operating system, run it with a human owner, and make the role transferable instead of building permanent agency dependency.

OPERATIONAL PILOT

$3,000/mo

One monthly contract for the platform and the human operator during a 3–4-month proof window.

AGENTIC WORKSPACE

$1,250/mo

Knowledge base, governed workflows, content packets, checks, publishing support, and the measurement loop.

MARKETING OPERATOR

$1,750/mo

Human-in-the-loop execution, review prep, publishing coordination, rewrites, and reporting. From month 2 onward after setup, a trained employee can take over; the operator line is removed and only $1,250/mo remains.

See the operator role →

All-in unit economics · denominator included

The denominator stays visible. So the headline cannot outrun the operating model.

The all-in monthly pilot cost divided by the steady-state cadence is $18.75–$25 per produced content unit: 120–160 units made up of 30–40 canonical site pieces and 90–120 platform-native adaptations. The upper figure applies only at the conservative output floor.

Calculated range

$18.75–$25/unit

Operating throughput math, not a standalone price promise.

Recalculation

Recalculation: $3,000 divided by 160 units is $18.75; $3,000 divided by 120 units is $25. We measured this range by reconciling the proposal's price lines and output bands on 22 July 2026.

Boundary

Boundary: this calculation excludes client review time, paid distribution, third-party author costs. Asset complexity varies, so it is operating throughput math, not a claim that every unit has identical effort or value.

DONE-FOR-YOU · ENTERPRISE

$5–15K/mo

Managed engagement. Agency-style delivery for SMBs that want outcomes, not tools. Multi-brand portfolios, $30M+ ARR, or compliance-heavy industries — talk to us directly.

The economics

How to read the vendor table:

The table below models one illustrative ten-licence configuration, using vendor-published tiers read on 21 July 2026. It is not a benchmark, a recommended stack, or a claim that every buyer needs all ten. It does not set or justify the price of Scale.

"In 2026 the first three citations capture roughly 60% of AI engine visibility" — observation across 24 client engagements on Hermes this past year.

Illustrative procurement reference

One configuration, read on one day.

We used to say "a typical stack runs $2–5K a month". That number was ours, not the vendors'. This table is a narrower replacement: one reproducible configuration, each row linked to its source and arithmetic. It is not a universal team benchmark or a required bundle. Prices move, so the date is the point.

Licence Published tier Per month How the number is built
Profound Growth (billed yearly) $399.00 published Growth tier, billed yearly
SerpApi · RU market coverage Production, 15,000 searches/mo $150.00 published Production tier
Jasper AI Pro × 10 seats $590.00 published $59 per seat on annual billing × 10 seats
Surfer SEO Business $219.00 published Business tier; its price renders in the browser, not in the served HTML
Originality.ai Pro + 9 extra seats $104.50 published $14.95 base plus 9 × $9.95 per extra seat
Тургенев (Ashmanov) · RU market coverage subscription, 200 checks/mo $2.50 published subscription at 200 ₽/mo
Screaming Frog paid licence $16.58 published $199 a year divided by 12
Sitebulb Pro, 1 user $42.00 published Pro tier
Ahrefs Lite $129.00 published Lite tier
Semrush SEO & AI Search $117.33 published tier, billed annually
Illustrative published subtotal $1,769.91 one ten-licence configuration, read 21 July 2026

Two positions are missing from that subtotal on purpose. Profound (Enterprise / agency): the tier is on the pricing page but carries no number, it is quoted. Fact-check tooling (low-enterprise): no vendor in this class publishes a public price. We carry internal estimates for both, and we are not putting them in a public table: on 21 July our own research pass found five errors in our competitor sheet, four of them flattering to us. An estimate of somebody else's price is the easiest of those errors to make and the fastest for a reader to catch.

What this table is not. It is not the business case for Humanswith.ai and it does not model the people, integrations, or operating discipline behind the licences. Use it only to inspect the dated vendor arithmetic. Compare operating responsibility on the Marketing Agents versus SaaS stack page.

Pricing questions buyers ask

Frequently asked questions about pricing

What is the operational pilot?

It is a 3–4-month managed path at $3,000/mo: $1,250/mo for the Agentic Workspace plus $1,750/mo for the Marketing Operator. A trained employee can take over the operator role from month 2 onward after setup; that removes the operator line and leaves the platform subscription.

What does each tier actually include?

Starter = audit + monthly brief for one brand. Category Winner = full Hermes Visibility + ContentOS + weekly briefs + 10 competitors tracked. Scale = always-on Marketing Agents replacing your freelance team. Done-for-you = managed engagement with our specialists running everything.

Can I start on Starter and upgrade?

Yes. Most clients start on Category Winner once they see the audit. Upgrades are mid-cycle, prorated. There are no annual commitments on monthly tiers.

How does Scale compare to hiring freelancers?

Scale is an operated service, not the resale of a ten-tool basket. The dated vendor table on this page is an illustrative procurement reference, not a benchmark or the basis of our price. Scale covers the platform scope and operating responsibility described in the tier.

Is there a setup fee?

No setup fee on Starter/Category Winner/Scale. Done-for-you includes a 2-week onboarding sprint built into month 1.

Which AI engines do you track on each tier?

All tiers track the same nine: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Kimi, Google AI Overviews, and Microsoft Copilot. What changes between tiers is scan frequency + competitor count + execution depth.

Do you offer custom enterprise pricing?

Yes. For multi-brand portfolios, $30M+ ARR, or compliance-heavy industries — talk to us directly. Done-for-you starts at $5K/mo and scales with scope.

What does the first audit actually show me?

You receive a per-engine breakdown of how the nine major AI surfaces describe your brand. The report covers your top three competitors and the queries your buyers are running today. It includes a citation map (who quotes whom), a gap analysis (where rivals win), and a prioritised work list (which three moves close the largest gap first).

How is this different from Profound, Otterly, or AthenaHQ?

Those tools are measurement-only — they report where AI mentions you. Humanswith.ai measures and closes the loop: we ship the content, schema, and outreach that earn the new citations, then re-measure. That is the reason clients consolidate four subscriptions into one.

How long does it take to see results?

Audit lands in your dashboard within the first 7–10 days. Citation lift signal: 6–8 weeks on Category Winner and above. Sustained share-of-answer growth: 3 months for the dogfood case (humanswith.ai itself went from 2 to 1,000+ citations in 12 weeks). SEO of the AI-era is faster than 12-month classical SEO because AI engines re-crawl their answer indexes weekly, not quarterly.

Do you require a long-term contract?

No. All monthly tiers (Starter, Category Winner, Scale) are month-to-month — cancel or downgrade any time, no penalty. Done-for-you starts at 3 months (we need the runway to do the work) but is not multi-year.

What's the refund policy?

14-day full refund on Starter and Category Winner if the audit doesn't reveal at least one closeable visibility gap in your category. Scale and Done-for-you: refund of unused months minus completed work (case-by-case).

Do you work in languages other than English and Russian?

EN and RU pipelines are production-grade today. Arabic pipeline is the next priority (Dubai-based team — native coverage). German, Spanish, French: bespoke on Done-for-you. We do not ship machine-translated content in any language.

How do you measure ROI?

Citation share by AI engine (Hermes weekly scan), branded query lift in your analytics, and qualified-lead attribution from your CRM (Twenty/HubSpot/Salesforce integration). On Done-for-you we also track downstream MRR/ARR. Reports are read-only access to your Hermes dashboard — no exported PDFs.

Who owns the content you produce?

You do. All ContentOS-generated articles, schema, and outreach assets are your property under standard work-for-hire terms. We retain the right to anonymize and use the metadata (citation gains, before/after numbers) in our /cases section after explicit consent.

What if my industry is too niche?

We test fit in the audit. If the audit shows your category lacks a meaningful AI-search surface (e.g. AI engines don't return brand recommendations for it), we tell you upfront and refund the audit. Niche-but-real categories (e.g. industrial manufacturing, B2B compliance) work — we have shipped both.

How is pricing different for agencies vs in-house?

Same tier prices for both. Agencies on Scale ($2,497) typically white-label one engagement to one client; on Done-for-you ($5K+) we co-deliver. Volume discounts kick in at 5+ concurrent engagements.

What happens in your first month

We stand up the platform for you, and build your AI-visibility strategy.

01

Week 1 — we set up the platform for you

We manually stand up the workstation under your brand: connect 9 AI engines, set up competitor monitoring, prep your marketer's dashboard. No automated onboarding — every client gets a custom setup.

02

Weeks 2–3 — we build your AI-visibility strategy

What AI engines say about you and your competitors. Which venues to publish on. Which topics. Which technical changes to your site so AI engines read it more eagerly.

03

Week 4 — we hand off to your marketer

Strategy and platform are ready. Your marketer takes the workstation, AI agents execute under their lead. From there — the standard subscription flow of your chosen tier.

Why this works

Four tiers, one underlying mechanism.

Every tier runs the same loop — Hermes measures the per-engine citation gap, ContentOS ships the third-party trust signals that close it, Website Agentic Optimization gets the schema and llms.txt right, Hermes re-measures. What changes between tiers is volume and depth: how many engines you track, how many topics per month, how many third-party authority placements per quarter. The price is not a paywall on quality; it is a multiplier on the number of citation shifts the same loop can produce in the same calendar month.

The dated vendor table above is optional procurement context for one configuration. Our service price is not derived from that basket. Scale covers the platform scope and the operating responsibility required to move from per-engine measurement to approved execution and remeasurement.
